34 is how many weeks along sarah's mom was when she was born. I remember her dad telling me the story of how both of sarah's lungs collapsed and how he prayed and prayed for her to get better. He told me that He had never prayed so hard in his life. They eventually had to transport sarah to another hospital where she was put in an incubator for a few weeks. Finally she was able to go home after a few weeks in the hospital.
We can never underestimate the power of what prayer can do. Most of the time we pray when times are tough or we "really" need God. What would it look like for us to make that a common practice in our everyday life. Asking God to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts, actions, decisions, etc. I believe if we do this then we begin to see with the eyes of Jesus. We begin to have the compassion he desires for us to have. Prayer isn't a last resort, it's not something we should say "well we will at least pray". No, our prayers have power and we go before the throne of God with our concerns and through the Holy Spirit, God hears those prayers. Make your requests known to God, He hears them....
