21...number worn by Tim Duncan, Ladanian Tomlinson
21...number of dots on a cubical dice.
Today started with a plan of going 100 miles...but didn't finish with going 100 miles. We only did 62, still a good distance. As Tony as I rode we talked about the trip and how hard some of the days are going to be. We realized that some days will be very difficult and some days one of us might just not feel like riding the length we need to ride. Also, we have to realize that weather might play a part in our schedule. We have a certain distance we want to travel each day but there's a chance that we won't be able to get to a destination a certain day because of weather, repairs to a bike, supplies, etc. We have an idea of what we want to do and where we want to be. We have scheduled stops at campgrounds, calculated the gas, thought about the amount of food and supplies we need but we also want to see God work through our trip by presenting opportunities to tell people about our faith.
We make our plans but God governs the outcome.
In an attempt to fulfill the plan of God we must realize and surrender to God that He has control over our situation. We plan to avg. 108 miles a day but that might change. We plan to talk to people and hand out our cards along the way...but that might change. We can be specific to our plan and focus completely on that, or we can create our plan and follow God's leading as we try to fulfill that plan. Don't miss God while you fulfill YOUR plan.
